Your piece has survived the drying process and its first trip through the kiln—now it’s time to add some color!
In this beginner-friendly glaze workshop, you’ll learn the basics of glazing pottery while adding the finishing touches to the piece you created during your handbuilding workshop. We’ll cover how glaze works, proper application techniques, and a few helpful tips to give you the best possible results once your piece heads back into the kiln.
You’ll have access to an assortment of glaze colors and plenty of creative freedom to make your piece completely your own.
After the workshop, your pottery will return to the kiln for its final firing before it's cooled and ready to take home.
Don’t have a piece to glaze? You’re still welcome to join! I’ll provide a small bisque-fired pottery piece for you to glaze so you can get hands-on experience and follow along with the workshop. A $15 materials fee will be collected at the workshop to cover your pottery piece. **Be sure to please message me in advance if you will need a piece to glaze.

Amy is a Tampa Bay–based ceramic artist who has been working with clay for over 15 years, first starting in college. After unexpectedly leaving her corporate career as a Sr. Process Manager due to health challenges, pottery shifted from a side passion into full-time work. Her work focuses on detailed surface design, functional forms, and occasionally pieces that reflect her comedy-loving side.
